The duet is the staple of folk music. This collection represents premier folk artists singing together, capturing the rich essence of two voices or instruments. Best known in the folk movement is the duo of Ian and Sylvia, found here singing the popular "Early Morning Rain." Another couple is Richard and Mimi Farina with "Pack Up Your Sorrows." The Newport Folk Festivals of the mid-60's showcased several duets. Included in this release are Joan Baez and Donovan with "Colours," Bob Dylan pairs with Joan on "It Ain't Me Babe," and with Pete Seeger on "Playboys and Playgirls."
