Originally aired in June 2003 on the Emmy Award-winning and very popular A&E Network series "A&E's Live By Request," the 82-minute special places B.B. in an intimate setting backed by the B.B. King Band. B.B. then responds to telephoned and e-mailed fan requests for favorite songs. Among the highlights of his moving and compelling Live By Request are requests from Tony Bennett, the show's creator, and Willie Nelson, who asks for "Night Life," a song Nelson co-wrote and which first appeared on a King album (Blues Is King) in 1967.
